The Weeknd and Lily Rose-Depp, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis' daughter, will star in the upcoming series The Idol on the streaming service. The mystery promises to tell "the sleaziest story in all of Hollywood" and claims that the show comes "from the debilitated and bent personalities" of The Weeknd and creator Sam Levinson. The series follows a female pop singer (Depp) who starts a feeling with a L.A. club owner turned secret coterie pioneer (The Weeknd).
With hitting, sex, dubstep, neon lights, a blade, a strict silver platter of cocaine, and a lady saying, "More, more, blow out!" It is evident from the trailer that the show is similar to Euphoria.
The series, as reported by Variety, has Depp and The Weeknd as regulars, as well as recurring roles for Melanie Liburd, Tunde Adebimpe, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Nico Hiraga, and Anne Heche. Steve Zissis, Troye Sivan, and Suzanna Son complete the ensemble.
The series will be available soon, but no specific release date is mentioned in the teaser.
In 2019, Lily-Rose Depp stood out as truly newsworthy — and, all the more significantly, images — when she was seen having a close second with Timothée Chalamet, her The Ruler co-star. The couple kissed on a yacht directly following propelling their movie at the Venice Movie Festivity.
Chalamet examined the photographs with GQ. "I went to bed that night thinking that was one of the best days of my life," Chalamet told GQ. I was like, indisputably, "That was great" when I closed my eyes. I had been with someone I truly loved all day on this boat. And when you wake up, you find all of these pictures, feel ashamed, and look like a real nob? All dour? From that point forward, individuals say, This is a PR ploy.' A PR gimmick? Do you think I would need to appear that way in front of all of you?!" In 2020, Chalamet and Depp split up after dating for more than a year.
